Here I say in individual happiness emotion, value itself include evil, and moved emotion has a characteristic to stay away from others’ entity at the same time of not interference, if we say “moved emotion” as to feel mercy to others, we can define that attitude as to know that we are the weaker existence not to help others knowing that the one to move us are in the crisis because of the lack of ability to rescue them completely. Therefore we can say that moved emotions are the one to get knowing our weakness, and when we are moved, we are egoistic ( if we wish all people’s happiness, we must abandon all moved emotion when we see a tragedy).
At this meaning individual happiness is the matter to supported by people when we’ve not gotten any happiness, and urged by all people, after getting it, the same as success we will get to be an object of jealousy, as the same of the scene of eating, even goddess beauty also gets to be ugly, disillusion us, getting happiness appears in front of neighbors none but being ugly. Namely human-beings are the existence to feel discontent because of being aware of the lack state of something, but after getting all lack parts, we feel empty after getting all as ennui. Then we are apt to decide all of abandoning of cravings and a need of lack parts, and that action would get to be a virtue. It becomes a value. But recognizing its value and being modest to do everything, and restrain greedy actions, and knowing that those actions would be praised by people, next we get to be pursuers to get a praise as holder of virtue and good suppresser from people around us. When we do so we need a merit. But those actions are so deeply ugly. Its attitude truly can said as fundamental evil said by Kant. Then we can paraphrase it to this attitude I narrated in Chapter15 has a contradiction with a vision of absolute solitude. Namely merely to set a value with others’ vision must drive it into valueless effect. Especially in the example at the view of Japanese not to tell any discontent to others, we can define Japanese’ attitude as persisting in self control power as showing modest to any desire of greedy. Then we can explain it to get a privilege to be recognized from others to be smart with controlling self desires. Namely it is equal to abuse of moral value self I narrated in Chapter13. In Japan it usually cannot be judged as so bad matter. This is the example of occidental world story. But we Japanese can grasp this content so much. In this stream of debate, we can say that also in the case of successful person we can find out the truth of fundamental evil by Kant that to all of jealousy around the successful person, he or she would try to tell that success must be grasped only by individual effort as a privilege. Its saying has a cold ignorance as a characteristic. Then like the matter we confirmed in Chapter14, the successful persons has a privilege to be told by the people that you can receive so many privilege because you have so hard effort to get success, he or she prove the fundamental evil with their actions. Then in intending to Chapter16’s universal value, from the starting point, it holds gentlemen’s ship to recognize mutual privilege only successful persons can hold. But to pursue individual value would be characterized as nonchalant posture to be greedy to get pleasant actions has a good effect because of the thought that except individual happiness none would be valuable has been composed completely and even excluding all challengers to be greedy self has being satisfied so much. All those attitudes have a strong declaration to the people bound with a steady common sense.
